I am majoring in Management Information Systems because I enjoy working with both technological systems and people in order to make processes more efficient. I explored a multitude of classes in high school that ranged from advanced science concepts to computer languages to business and accounting principles. As I am currently learning about networks and the use of technology in business analysis, I am confident that I have found my passion. I plan to apply to the Mays 4+1 Program specifically for Management Information Systems. I can see myself furthering my education as I have always had a love for learning. I am still exploring what career I want to focus on after I graduate, but I am considering data analystics, cyber security, and health informatics.
In order to achieve these future plans, I will continue to expand my knowledge in computer programming languages, such as C# and SQL, in addition to my basic knowledge of JavaScript and HTML. I will also work hard towards developing my skills of leadership, problem solving, and attention to detail. This summer, I plan to have an internship in which I can gain real-world experience in data and analytics.
